My favorite list

These are just a few of the blogs that I check out on a daily basis. I highly suggest you do the same.
1.) Lateboots.com- I can't even lie, I'm addicted to this blog. Headed by the very cool, very chic, Marquis Phifer of Morehouse college and the mysterious one name woman that is "Sham". Lateboots gives insight into the latest fashion, latest music and latest happenings. The two writers divulge into their narcissistic side posting pictures of themselves looking one might say, like celebrities. Reading their blog almost makes you feel like you're reading into the lives of celebrities but are they really celebs or are they just like us? Except much, much more stylish...I wonder. Nonetheless, I love this blog. It's a very well put together fashion/ lifestyle blog. Lateboots!

2.) wordsfrom.wordpress.com I admire this blog for several reasons. I think it's refreshing to see what's really going on in people's heads. "Wordsfrom" is a blog with various posters. The requirements are simple, email your "words" to wordsfrom@gmail.com with an attached picture of yourself preferrably in black and white. I find it very interesting to just sit and read what people think about. The subjects vary far and wide. Some people are happy, some people are angry, some people just need someone to talk to. "Wordsfrom" is a great read, it lets you feel like there are people out there that think just like or not like you at all. Words From

3.) Lavishlifesocialclub.com I'm late to this blog. Before this summer I had never heard of it before. Lavish Life is a blog mainly about music. Mainly about underground music in Atlanta. The posters on this blog give off a feeling of "free spirit" "free thought". Their motto, or mantra is "guided by loyalty" "governed by faith" and you see that theme throughout the blog. The main writer "Kei" finishes each post with the clever catch phrase "Kei Opens Doors". She very well may do that indeed. Kei manages local Atlanta artists like Mums FP, Grip Pliyaz and Siyah. While you may not have heard of them, and their names sound more like superheroes than artists, there are thousands who have...their following in the eclectic and stylish world that is "neo-hip hop atlanta " LOVES them. I witnessed that firsthand at one of their performances. Lavish Life is filled with posts of these artists and other frequenters of the scene like Hollyweerd that are striving to infiltrate an Atlanta clouded with bubble-gum ringtone rap back to the smooth, different, sometimes even "weerd" sound that seems to be dwindling away. The members of this Lavish Life give off an aura that reminds you of those "cool kids" that had their own seperate lunch table in high school, the kind of kids everyone wanted to be like, dress like, look like....Governed by loyalty, guided by faith....Lavish Life.

4.) Theybf.com The "Young, Black and Fabulous" is a site about just that. It's a site that gives people a taste into the celebrity world of the ybf. Frequented on the site are posts about Rihanna, Beyonce, Christina Milian and other celebrities. It's mainly just good old fashioned gossip but I can especially appreciate the posts on style or new music. theybf.com

5.)
thumbsupconsulting.blogspot.com Maybe I'm jaded because the writer is a good friend of mine but TUC is a blog by 21 year old, Nick Reynolds of Atlanta, Georgia. Reynolds is relatable. His blog isn't over crowded with pictures of celebs, instead its minimal. Reynolds finds things he likes or finds "dope" in his words and posts them giving them a "thumbs up" much like the late Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. Furthermore Reynolds provides downloads to albums, new music from artists you may have never heard of but probably should, various youtube videos, pictures and playlists all the while writing in all caps giving you the sense he's excited like a child on Christmas morning. Not only does he write for TUC, but Reynolds is a now a contributing writer to lavish life social club as well. Reynold's blog is a genuine mix of commercial and underground blended easily onto a space that celebrates them both easily and with simplicity. If you're looking to find out about a new artist or watch an interview with one of your favorites, check out TUC.....Thumbs up indeed.......

Beyonce "Halo"

not sure if i care for the video...but the song is lovely.
